Remember carefree, dynamic movement? ✨

I recently came across this photo again, taken over twelve years ago now in the late afternoon light on Saltdean beach.
I love this picture for so many reasons, not least the memory of sharing long summer days by the sea with close friends and our small children ♥️
Mostly though its seeing and remembering how carefree our children were and how easily they ran, crouched, jumped, stood on their hands and splashed around in the water together.
It also makes me reflect on how easily this can change as we move through life feeling the physical effects of aging and life’s responsibilities.
When I practice and teach Yoga I want movements to feel light, fluid and more easy. Paying attention to our sensations, finding ways to bend, twist, turn, crouch, reach and balance feels unlike ‘exercise’.
It’s a practice that keeps me interested, awake and optimistic, which is why I love to share it with others,
Ellie
