Hi, I’m Ellie and I’ve been teaching my Yoga classes from my studio in Saltdean for around twelve years after I trained in Scaravelli inspired Yoga.
My classes may feel different to other traditional forms of yoga as the focus is on quality of movement rather than stretching or long holds of poses. As we improve and gain control over the smaller movements it can lead to mastering bigger ones and people are often surprised at how much they can do without struggle 😊
I also regularly practice the Feldenkrais Method alongside Yoga. These are lessons created by Moche Feldenkrais (a physicist, engineer and Judo master) who, after a serious knee injury that threatened his mobility, created the method to avoid surgery.
Often referred to as ‘mindfulness in movement’ this method is used in a variety of areas, from rehabilitation to sports performance. It shares a wealth of interesting and helpful ways of moving with confidence and coordination.
This way of learning can also be incredibly calming for over an over stressed nervous system & people often feel lighter and more relaxed after a class. ✨
You can benefit from these lessons at any age and fitness levels aren’t important.
Feel free to browse the testimonials on the website to find out more and hear how others are benefiting from their sessions.
✨New beginners class starting soon on Wednesday mornings @11am, get in touch if you’d like to book a space 😊
